Darkroom Interventions
Darkroom Interventions is an analogue project born from experimental play in the darkroom. Using negatives from various past shoots, I explored the unpredictable possibilities of working with (instead of just ‘using’) chemicals, water, materials, shadows, and solarisation techniques. For me, this series represents the freedom, spontaneity, and unpredictability that comes with working with analogue processes, celebrating the tactile, imperfect, and experimental nature of darkroom work.
The original prints, created through these messy, hands-on processes, are rough and unrefined — intentionally so. They have been rephotographed to produce a limited series of prints. Thank you to Kit for modelling.

Available in an edition of 50 in two sizes.
12” x 8”
15” x 10”
Printed on Canson Baryta 310gsm; a smooth textured, light gloss, museum grade fine art paper. Baryta is a mineral similar to clay that coats the paper and offers the look and aesthetic of an original darkroom fibre based print.
Each print is signed and numbered on the back by the artist.
