Storm

Series of double exposures, created in 2017 while on a sailing trip in Greece. The first exposures were taken of a wild thunderstorm, playing out over mainland Greece while I watched on, camera in hand, from a small island. The films were then packed away for a few weeks, and taken back out in the studio back home. With Catherine (model), I put the films through the camera again, not knowing exactly what had been originally captured. The results are unexpected, although wished for, chance encounters between the first shoot and the second. A beautiful example of why I love working with analogue double exposures.
Exhibited at The Lowry, Manchester in group show ‘Everything I Know, I Felt’ in March 2020.
